Black Wedding Gown! – Be bold, be different, be beautiful

Kinda late in the year to be starting a blog but what the heck. Here it goes…

Vera Wang may have started the black wedding gown trend and I’m glad to see others embracing it too. This semi-spontaneous shoot happened one late October afternoon at Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia. Taylor looked stunning in this bold number by wedding couture designer Francesca Miranda. Think outside the box ladies. Yes, this is a wedding gown. Although I just wanted to capture how glamorous Taylor looked in this black gown the shoot took on an Alice in Wonderland feel for me. The grounds were beautiful and the light was even better! Also Halloween week appropriate, so I thought I’d share.  All too soon, the light was gone and it was a wrap. We went to leave and Taylor’s car wouldn’t start. Two sets of jumper cables and no clue how to really use them when the time finally came. Android phone, internet, Youtube and a few phone calls to the rescue…in the end all was well – despite a couple of sparks!
